The Opportunity:

We have an exciting opportunity in our Calgary office for a Junior Architectural Designer . Using your Revit skills, you will work closely with the project team to complete architectural design and technical assignments while gaining experience.


What you’ll be doing at Kasian:

  • Assist with schematic design, design development, and programming under supervision from more experienced team members
  • Prepare design and technical working drawings
  • Prepare hand sketches, perspectives, and coloured renderings in 2D and 3D
  • Prepare colour and material boards, and presentation documents
  • Contribute to design, production, and visioning meetings
  • Attend meetings and communicate with clients alongside an intermediate or senior designer as required
  • Meet and develop relationships with product reps
  • Provide product research and selection


What you bring to Kasian:

  • Bachelor of Architecture (B.Arch) or Master of Architecture (M.Arch) from an accredited architectural program, with 0 to 4 years of professional design experience
  • Proficient with graphics software (SketchUp, AutoCAD, Adobe Suite); Revit experience considered an asset
  • Interior design skills, creativity, and knowledge of design principles and elements
  • Construction knowledge
  • Excellent communication, time management, and teamwork skills
  • Demonstrated graphic presentation skills
  • Desire to learn and willingness to take direction
