Reporting to the Product Marketing Director, this role is a key contributor to the growth and successful execution of this business across all regions in the United States and Canada. The Logistics Specialist will lead the inventory and logistics management of the Natural Stone portfolio.
This position is responsible for overseeing inventory operations across regions, ensuring accurate, efficient, and proactive management of stock levels. A significant portion of the role centers on tracking and auditing—managing invoices from overseas suppliers, brokers, and ports with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
The Logistics Specialist will also own weekly ordering, inventory forecasting, and shipping and receiving coordination, while supporting budget monitoring and financial accuracy. In addition, this role is accountable for generating and maintaining inventory reports and leading weekly meetings with regional inventory managers to drive alignment, resolve issues, and ensure strong operational execution across the network.
Role & Responsibilities:
- Budgeting and Forecasting
- Invoice and Budget Tracking: Manage invoice auditing, processing and budget tracking to ensure accuracy, correct charges and efficiencies.
- Forecasting: Develop and maintain forecasts for 3, 6, 9 months, and ensure base stock levels are consistently maintained at the central yard
- Inventory Management
- Weekly Orders: Complete and manage weekly inventory orders across regions, ensuring timely replenishment and stock accuracy.
- Inventory Reports: Generate and analyze inventory reports to track performance, highlight trends and identify areas for improvement.
- Shipping and Receiving: Oversee all shipping and receiving operations, including coordination with brokerage services and central yard team.
- Compliance & Regulations
- Stay current on all relevant import/export regulations, ensuring full compliance across all natural stone shipments and documentation
- Collaboration
- Team Meetings: Conduct weekly meetings with regional inventory managers to review stock status, address issues, and coordinate upcoming needs.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years experience in inventory, supply chain, logistics or operations. Experience managing multi-region inventory with proficiency in inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Exceptionally organized and detail oriented, with a proactive, customer first approach to supporting stakeholders.
- Strong analytical capability, including experience building and maintaining 3 , 6 , 9 , or 12 month inventory forecasts and interpreting operational data.
- Technical aptitude and strong problem solving skills, with the curiosity to investigate root cause issues and the discipline to implement durable process improvements.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and a proven ability to build strong relationships with remote stakeholders.
- Occasional travel between the United States and Canada will be required. The successful candidate will be required to maintain an up to date passport and all other documentation needed to cross the border.
