We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Greenhouse Manager to oversee the daily operations of our greenhouse facility. The ideal candidate will have a passion for horticulture and experience in managing plant growth, irrigation systems, and greenhouse maintenance. This role requires a combination of outdoor work, mechanical knowledge, and hands-on skills to ensure optimal plant health and productivity.

Responsibilities

• Manage the overall operations of the greenhouse, including planning and implementing growing schedules.
• Oversee the irrigation systems to ensure proper watering and nutrient delivery to plants.
• Supervise staff in daily tasks such as planting, pruning, harvesting, and maintaining plant health.
• Monitor environmental conditions within the greenhouse to optimize growth conditions.
• Perform regular inspections of plants for pests or diseases and implement appropriate control measures.
• Maintain equipment and tools used in greenhouse operations, ensuring they are in good working condition.
• Conduct heavy lifting tasks related to planting and moving materials as necessary.
• Collaborate with landscape designers or agricultural specialists to enhance plant selection and layout.

Requirements

• Proven experience in greenhouse management or a related field is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of plant care, including growing techniques and pest management.
• Ability to perform outdoor work in varying weather conditions.
• Familiarity with irrigation systems and mechanical knowledge for equipment maintenance.
• Proficient in using hand tools for gardening and maintenance tasks.
• Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and stand for extended periods.
• Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail.
• A passion for gardening, farming, or landscape management is highly desirable.
