As an R&D Manager – Technology Platform Dental Materials (m/f/x)*, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world.
Here, you will make an impact by:
- Leading a multidisciplinary team with deep expertise in dental materials and delivery systems, fostering strong cross-functional alignment across R&D, Marketing, Product Engineering, Regulatory, and Manufacturing.
- Defining and executing technology platform strategy aligned with pipeline and portfolio priorities.
- Driving the development of new technologies and developing an IP strategy and portfolio protection plan to strengthen competitive advantage.
- Partnering closely with upstream marketing and portfolio teams to identify and address highvalue problems using existing or novel technologies.
- Establishing and managing collaborations with universities, thirdparty partners, and internal Solventum R&D teams to accelerate innovation.
- Taking full accountability for technical outcomes, ensuring scientific rigor, and robustness of solutions.
To set you up for success in this role from day one, Solventum requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:
- Ph.D. (in chemistry, material science, engineering or related discipline) or Master´s degree with profound job experience within the medical device industry
- Profound experience in a regulated industry, medical devices preferred, utilizing design controls to design, develop, verify, validate, and commercialize new products
- Full professional proficiency in German and English
Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, familiarity with strategizing early technical innovations
- Previous experience in managing people, and leading teams
- Broad technical depth across relevant disciplines including materials, engineering, intellectual property and chemistry
Work location:
Hybrid Eligible (Job Duties allow for some remote work but require travel to Seefeld/Munich, Germany at least 4 days per week)
Travel: May include up to 10 % international
Must be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status.
