Supervising Social Worker

Base Location: Coventry

Hours: 28 hours per week (4 days)

Salary: Up to £34,507 FTE (£43,134.00)

Caseload Area: Midlands and South Yorkshire (maximum 1 hour's drive, with occasional flexibility required)

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Social Worker who is enthusiastic and committed to the role of foster parents. You will work collaboratively with foster parents to ensure meaningful supervision of placements.

Key Requirements:

• Hold a Social Care England recognised qualification in Social Work or equivalent
• Previous experience in children and families social work
• Comprehensive knowledge of relevant legislation pertaining to children's services
• Good IT skills
• Flexibility in working patterns and travel

• Provide direct support to foster parents with a manageable caseload for high-level supervision
• Conduct regular supervision sessions, monitoring practice and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards
• Collaborate with children, young people, foster parents, and other professionals to facilitate participation in assessments, planning, and decision-making related to safeguarding and child protection

The successful candidate will need to complete an enhanced DBS Check, which will be covered by Fosterplus.
