About UsWelcome to Cherrystone Nursery , a nurturing day nursery and preschool located in the heart of Stoneleigh, Surrey. We cater to children aged 3 months to 5 years and have recently transformed our outdoor spaces to inspire exploration and play. With a brand new climbing frame, growing patch, and creative art area, our nursery is designed to spark curiosity and support every stage of development.
Our spacious indoor environment features five large rooms, all aimed at fostering a love for learning. Plus, with convenient onsite parking and easy access to local transport, we provide a welcoming atmosphere where children can thrive.
Your RoleWe are on the lookout for a passionate Nursery Practitioner to join our dedicated team. This full-time role involves working 30 hours per week, with shifts scheduled between 7:30 am and 6:00 pm. Please note that this is a year-round position, as we operate throughout the year.

As a Nursery Practitioner, you will:
- Ensure each child’s individual needs are met, providing high-quality care and education in a safe environment.
- Observe, assess, and plan engaging early years activities tailored to each child's learning and development.
- Collaborate with your team, demonstrating flexibility and a willingness to learn new skills.
- Adhere to company policies and procedures, ensuring they are regularly reviewed and applied.
- Follow risk assessments diligently and report any health and safety concerns to management.
- Support the holistic development of children, including their physical, intellectual, social, and emotional growth.
To thrive in this role, you will need:
- Full and relevant Level 2 childcare qualification: Essential
- Fluency in written and spoken English: Essential
- Experience in Early Years: Over 1 year is desirable
- Knowledge of EYFS Framework: Familiarity with statutory requirements is desirable
