We are hiring a Forklift Operator for our Durham, North Carolina facility! This role is integral to our logistics network, ensuring the efficient movement of products throughout our distribution center. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating forklifts to load, unload, and move materials, contributing to the smooth operation of our warehouse. A dedication to safety and efficiency is paramount in this position.
Responsibilities:
- Safely operate forklifts and other powered industrial trucks to move materials.
- Load and unload goods from trucks, containers, and pallets.
- Transport products to and from storage areas and production lines.
- Perform daily inspections and basic maintenance on forklifts.
- Assist with inventory management, including stock checks and cycle counts.
- Adhere strictly to all Safety guidelines and company policies, including wearing required PPE.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work environment.
- Coordinate with supervisors and team members to meet operational demands.
- Support overall warehouse functions as needed.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a Forklift Operator is essential.
- Certification or demonstrated competency in operating various types of forklifts.
- Capability for frequent Lifting of up to 50 pounds.
- Familiarity with warehouse logistics and material handling principles.
- A strong commitment to workplace Safety.
- Ability to work in a physically demanding role and a fast-paced environment.
- Good communication skills and the ability to follow instructions.
- Flexibility to work overtime and varied shifts as required.
