Join our fast-paced warehouse in San Jose, California as a Material Handler. This role is essential for the movement and organization of materials within our facility, ensuring a smooth and efficient Logistics operation. The Material Handler will be responsible for operating equipment, transporting goods, and maintaining an organized work area. A strong emphasis on Safety and efficient material handling practices is required. You will play a vital role in supporting our production and fulfillment teams.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Transport raw materials, finished goods, and other items throughout the warehouse.
- Load and unload trucks as needed.
- Organize and stack materials in designated areas.
- Conduct regular inspections of material handling equipment.
- Adhere to all company Safety policies and procedures.
- Properly use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times.
- Assist with inventory counts and cycle counts.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Support Logistics operations by ensuring timely movement of materials.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a Material Handler or in a similar role is preferred.
- Valid forklift operator certification or willingness to obtain one.
- Ability to perform tasks requiring significant physical exertion, including frequent heavy Lifting (up to 70 lbs).
- Knowledge of warehouse operations and material handling best practices.
- Strong commitment to workplace Safety.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Familiarity with warehouse Safety regulations.
