Our growing logistics operation in Nashville, Tennessee, is looking for a skilled and safety-conscious Forklift Operator. In this vital role, you will be responsible for operating forklifts and other powered industrial trucks to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise. You will ensure materials are transported safely and efficiently throughout the distribution center. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of safe operation and a strong understanding of warehouse procedures. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts (sit-down, stand-up, reach trucks) safely and efficiently to move materials within the warehouse.
- Load and unload trailers and containers.
- Transport raw materials, finished goods, and other items within the facility.
- Perform pre-operation inspections of forklifts and report any maintenance issues immediately.
- Stack and arrange products in designated storage areas, ensuring stability and accessibility.
- Assist with inventory management, including cycle counts and stock rotation.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and guidelines, including the proper use of required PPE.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Follow all company policies and procedures related to logistics and warehouse operations.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Forklift Operator with a valid certification.
- Knowledge of warehouse operations and inventory control.
- Ability to perform physical tasks as needed, including lifting up to 50 pounds occasionally.
- Excellent attention to detail and a strong focus on safety.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including occasional overtime.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Understanding of material handling equipment maintenance.
- Commitment to adhering to safety protocols and wearing appropriate PPE.
