Our Richmond, Virginia facility is seeking a skilled Warehouse Technician to support our advanced warehouse operations. This role involves not only the physical movement of goods but also the maintenance and operation of warehouse machinery and equipment. You will be responsible for tasks such as receiving, inventory management, picking, packing, and shipping, with an added focus on ensuring equipment is functioning correctly and safely. The ideal candidate will possess mechanical aptitude, a strong understanding of warehouse systems, and a dedication to upholding rigorous Safety standards. This is a critical position within our Logistics department, requiring precision and reliability. We emphasize a proactive approach to maintenance and problem-solving. You will be expected to wear and properly utilize all required PPE to ensure your safety and the safety of others. - Perform general warehouse duties including receiving, stocking, picking, packing, and shipping.
- Operate and maintain warehouse equipment, including forklifts, pallet jacks, and conveyor systems.
- Conduct routine inspections and minor repairs on warehouse machinery.
- Troubleshoot equipment issues and escalate complex problems as needed.
- Ensure all equipment is used in accordance with Safety guidelines.
- Maintain inventory accuracy through diligent record-keeping and cycle counts.
- Uphold strict adherence to all company Safety policies and procedures.
- Wear and properly use all required PPE at all times.
- Assist with general facility maintenance as needed.
- Proven experience as a Warehouse Technician or similar role involving equipment maintenance.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including Lifting up to 60 lbs.
- Familiarity with mechanical systems and troubleshooting.
- Understanding of warehouse Logistics and operational flow.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong commitment to workplace Safety .
- Must consistently use required PPE .
