We are seeking a skilled Forklift Operator to join our logistics team in Seattle, Washington. In this critical role, you will be responsible for operating forklifts to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise. Your efficiency and safe operation of machinery are key to maintaining smooth warehouse operations and ensuring the timely movement of goods. You will work closely with other warehouse personnel to ensure accurate inventory management and timely order fulfillment. A strong commitment to safety, including adherence to all operational guidelines and the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), is non-negotiable. We are looking for experienced operators with a proven track record of safe operation and reliability. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts (sit-down, stand-up, reach trucks) safely and efficiently to move materials.
- Load and unload trucks and trailers.
- Transport materials to and from storage areas, production areas, and loading docks.
- Perform routine inspections of forklift equipment and report any issues immediately.
- Stack and organize materials in designated warehouse locations.
- Assist with inventory counts and stocktaking as needed.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment, ensuring clear pathways and proper stacking.
- Adhere strictly to all company safety policies and procedures, including Lifting regulations and PPE requirements.
- Follow all traffic signals, signs, and cones in the warehouse.
- Collaborate with warehouse management and team members to optimize workflow.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid forklift operator certification/license.
- Proven experience operating various types of forklifts in a warehouse environment.
- Excellent knowledge of forklift operating procedures and safety regulations.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including standing, climbing, and Lifting up to 50 pounds when necessary.
- Strong attention to detail and mechanical aptitude.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication and problem-solving skills.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
