Join our team in Omaha, Nebraska, as an Inventory Control Specialist! This role is paramount to maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our warehouse inventory, directly impacting our logistics efficiency and customer satisfaction. You will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of inventory management, including cycle counting, stock reconciliation, and investigating discrepancies. The ideal candidate is highly analytical, detail-oriented, and possesses a strong understanding of warehouse operations.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement effective inventory control procedures.
- Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventories to ensure accuracy.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies, identifying root causes.
- Monitor inventory levels and identify potential shortages or overages.
- Manage inventory adjustments and ensure proper documentation.
- Work closely with warehouse and logistics teams to track product movement and location.
- Ensure the proper handling and storage of inventory to maintain quality and prevent damage.
- Maintain accurate inventory records in the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
- Implement and enforce safety protocols related to inventory handling and storage, including the use of PPE.
- Generate reports on inventory accuracy, stock levels, and other key metrics.
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree or higher in a related field is a plus.
- Proven experience in inventory control, warehouse management, or a similar logistics role.
- Proficiency with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and inventory software.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 40 lbs occasionally.
- Knowledge of warehouse operations and best practices for inventory management.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Understanding of safety procedures, including the proper use of PPE.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
