We are seeking a detail-oriented Shipping Clerk to join our logistics team in Phoenix, Arizona. In this role, you will be instrumental in ensuring the accurate and timely dispatch of all outgoing shipments. Your responsibilities will include preparing shipping documentation, verifying order details, packaging items securely, and coordinating with carriers. Responsibilities:
- Accurately prepare and process all shipping documentation (e.g., bills of lading, packing lists).
- Verify outbound orders against shipping manifests to ensure accuracy.
- Package products securely for shipment, selecting appropriate materials.
- Coordinate with freight carriers for pickup and delivery schedules.
- Track shipments and provide updates to relevant parties.
- Maintain organized shipping and receiving areas.
- Adhere strictly to all Safety regulations and company policies, including the use of PPE.
- Operate basic office equipment and warehouse equipment as needed.
- Communicate effectively with internal departments and external partners.
- Support the overall Logistics operations and contribute to efficiency goals.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's degree preferred.
- Proven experience as a Shipping Clerk or in a similar Logistics role.
- Proficiency in using shipping software and inventory management systems.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to perform moderate Lifting (up to 30 lbs).
- Understanding of shipping procedures and carrier requirements.
- Knowledge of warehouse Safety practices.
- Willingness to wear required PPE.
- Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a timely manner.
