Operate forklifts and other machinery as a Forklift Operator in our bustling Houston, Texas warehouse! We are seeking skilled and safety-conscious individuals to manage the movement of materials efficiently within our Logistics facility. This role is critical for maintaining the flow of goods, ensuring inventory is stored correctly, and shipments are loaded and unloaded promptly. As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for transporting, stacking, and retrieving goods, as well as performing routine checks on your equipment. Adherence to all Safety regulations and the proper use of PPE are non-negotiable. This position requires proven experience with various types of forklifts, excellent spatial awareness, and a strong commitment to workplace Safety. The job involves regular physical demands, including occasional Lifting, and requires focus and precision. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts (e.g., sit-down, stand-up, reach trucks) safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload materials from trucks and into warehouse racking.
- Transport raw materials, finished goods, and other items throughout the facility.
- Stack and retrieve inventory with precision, ensuring proper placement.
- Perform daily pre-operation inspections and routine maintenance checks on forklifts.
- Maintain an organized and clean work area, adhering to warehouse Safety standards.
- Follow all Logistics procedures and protocols for material handling.
- Wear required PPE at all times and report any Safety concerns immediately.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid forklift operator certification and proven experience.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience operating forklifts in a warehouse environment.
- Knowledge of warehouse operations and Logistics principles.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including occasional Lifting of up to 50 lbs.
- Strong commitment to Safety and proficient use of PPE.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
