Our St. Louis, Missouri facility is looking for a dedicated Receiving Clerk to manage incoming inventory. In this role, you will be instrumental in the initial stages of our supply chain, ensuring that all deliveries are processed with precision and efficiency. You will be responsible for receiving, inspecting, and documenting all inbound freight, ensuring that our inventory levels are accurate and up-to-date. This position is vital for maintaining the integrity of our warehouse operations and supporting our overall logistics network. Responsibilities:
- Receive and unload trucks, verifying contents against shipping documents.
- Inspect incoming merchandise for any damages or discrepancies.
- Accurately record all received goods into the inventory system.
- Stage and store received products in their appropriate locations within the warehouse.
- Ensure the receiving area is kept clean, organized, and free of hazards.
- Communicate effectively with suppliers and internal teams to resolve receiving issues.
- Adhere strictly to all company safety regulations and wear appropriate PPE at all times.
- Participate in inventory control activities, such as cycle counting.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Previous experience as a Receiving Clerk or in a similar warehouse role is advantageous.
- Basic computer literacy and experience with inventory management software are beneficial.
- Excellent observational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Ability to handle physical demands, including frequent lifting of up to 50 lbs.
- Understanding of warehouse logistics and best practices is a plus.
- A strong emphasis on safety and a commitment to following established procedures.
