We are looking for a dedicated Order Picker to join our busy distribution center in Fort Worth, Texas. In this role, you will be instrumental in ensuring that our customers receive their orders accurately and on time. You will navigate the warehouse to retrieve specified items, prepare them for shipment, and maintain the organization of inventory. This position requires attention to detail, efficiency, and a commitment to safety. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working in a physically demanding environment and possess a positive attitude. You will be part of a team focused on optimizing warehouse operations and contributing to the overall success of our logistics network. - Accurately locating and picking items from warehouse shelves based on order lists or scanner instructions.
- Verifying item numbers, quantities, and product condition before picking.
- Using order pickers, pallet jacks, and other equipment to retrieve items.
- Packing items securely and appropriately for shipment.
- Ensuring all picked items are staged correctly for the next stage of the shipping process.
- Maintaining a clean and organized workstation and work area.
- Assisting with inventory counts and stock checks as directed.
- Adhering to all company safety policies and procedures, including the use of required PPE.
- Reporting any discrepancies or issues to a supervisor promptly.
- Contributing to a positive and productive team environment.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as an order picker or in a warehouse setting is preferred.
- Ability to read and understand order pick lists and product labels.
- Capacity to lift and move products up to 50 lbs.
- Must be able to stand, walk, bend, and stoop for extended periods.
- Basic understanding of inventory control and warehouse logistics.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong commitment to workplace safety and the proper use of PPE.
- Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality.
Safety is our top priority. You will be trained on all safety procedures and the correct use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). This role involves considerable physical exertion, including frequent lifting and movement. Become a vital part of our logistics operations!
