We are seeking a senior-level Network Engineer / IT Technician to work out of our Anchorage, Alaska office. This role is intended for an experienced IT professional who can own environments end-to-end, operate with minimal oversight, and serve as a technical authority across networking, infrastructure, and user support. Candidates must be comfortable making technical decisions, leading troubleshooting efforts, and building environments to standard without step-by-step direction. *Required Experience & Certifications* * 5+ years of professional IT experience in production environments * 3+ years of hands-on networking experience (design, deployment, and troubleshooting) * CCNA or Fortinet FCP certification (required) * Fortinet firewall experience strongly preferred * Experience working within a professional ticketing system (ConnectWise Manage preferred) *Core Responsibilities* * Design, build, and support complete network environments from the ground up * Deploy and support firewalls (Fortinet preferred), switches, wireless infrastructure, VLANs, VPNs, and routing * Independently deploy networks and infrastructure with minimal guidance following company standards * Serve as the primary technical resource for complex network troubleshooting * Support Windows 10 and Windows 11 workstations * Support on-prem and cloud-based server infrastructure * Manage Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Microsoft 365, Azure, and Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) * Configure, monitor, and test backup solutions * Utilize RMM tools for proactive monitoring and remediation * Provide support ranging from end-user issues to advanced infrastructure problems * Document all work and resolutions accurately in the ticketing system * Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical xevrcyc stakeholders *What Separates a Strong Candidate* * Ability to troubleshoot independently without escalation * Comfortable acting as the technical authority * Understands why systems are designed a certain way * Can move seamlessly between user support and infrastructure work * Takes ownership of issues through resolution Job Type: Full-time Pay: $60,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year Benefits: * 401(k) * 401(k) matching * Health insurance * Paid time off * Professional development assistance * Retirement plan * Tuition reimbursement
