À propos
ProBioGen is an internationally operating biotech company based in Berlin-Weißensee, which has specialized in the development and production of biopharmaceutical active ingredients and vaccines throughout many years of experience. Every day, more than 300 employees contribute with their creative and diligent work to the establishment of new therapeutic developments in medicine and groundbreaking innovations worldwide.
Through our research, we support the development of effective and safe medical agents to help improve the cures for diseases such as cancer.
We have been growing steadily since 1994 - become an innovator of tomorrow and apply now!
- Development, optimization, and characterization of downstream processes for proteins, antibodies or other biologics
- Planning, conducting, and evaluating laboratory-scale experiments (e.g., chromatography, filtration, UF/DF)
- Implementation of typical analytical methods for evaluating process steps and product quality, e.g., SDS-PAGE, Western blot, CE-SDS, SEC-HPLC, IEX-HPLC, RP-HPLC, UV/Vis spectroscopy, and aggregate and particle analyses
- Design of Experiments (DoE): Planning and evaluation of statistically supported test series for process optimization
- Interpretation of analytical data and derivation of process optimizations
- Structured documentation, evaluation, and interpretation of large data sets
- Preparation of scientific reports, presentations, and technical documents for internal and external purposes
- Preparation and support of the transfer from laboratory to pilot or production scale
- Close collaboration with Upstream Development, Analytics, Quality, and Manufacturing
- Participation in the introduction of new technologies and automation solutions; establishment of new purification or analysis methods and evaluation of new technologies
- Participation in the creation and updating of standard operating procedures (SOPs)
- Presentation of test results and process data in customer meetings and technical discussion of the results in project meetings
- A degree in biotechnology, biochemistry, bioprocess engineering, or a related field (bachelor's, master's, or doctorate)
- Practical laboratory experience, ideally in protein purification or biotechnological process development (through internships, theses, or previous professional experience)
- Experience with market production is a plus
- Basic knowledge of chromatographic and filtration-based processes and interest in these areas
- Initial experience with analytical methods such as SDS-PAGE, Western blot, or HPLC processes, or willingness to learn these skills
- Enjoyment of experimental work, careful documentation, and a structured, analytical approach
- Interest in data-based process optimization and statistical methods such as DoE
Confident use of MS Office, especially for evaluating data and creating reports and presentations - Team-oriented approach to work and clear communication when interacting with different departments
- Willingness to prepare results in a comprehensible manner and also present them in customer meetings
- Very good written and spoken German and English skills
