We are seeking a motivated and dependable Material Handler to join our dynamic logistics team in Austin, Texas. In this crucial role, you will be responsible for the efficient and safe movement of materials throughout our warehouse facility. Your primary duties will involve loading and unloading trucks, operating forklifts and pallet jacks, and ensuring accurate inventory management. This position requires a strong commitment to safety protocols and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in warehouse operations and a keen eye for detail. You will work closely with other team members to ensure the smooth flow of goods, contributing directly to the success of our supply chain operations. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to grow within the logistics industry. Responsibilities:
- Load and unload materials from trucks and other vehicles.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently.
- Transport materials to and from designated areas within the warehouse.
- Conduct regular inventory checks and assist with stocktaking.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to all safety regulations.
- Identify and report any damaged materials or equipment promptly.
- Collaborate with team members to meet daily operational goals.
- Ensure proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times.
- Assist with other warehouse duties as assigned, demonstrating flexibility and a willingness to learn.
- Adhere strictly to all company policies and safety guidelines to minimize risks associated with Lifting and material handling.
Proven experience as a Material Handler or in a similar warehouse role. Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including frequent Lifting of up to 50 pounds. Familiarity with warehouse equipment operation. Strong understanding of warehouse safety procedures and the importance of PPE. Excellent teamwork and communication skills. Ability to work flexible hours, including occasional weekends. Must be authorized to work in the US.
