We are seeking a skilled and reliable Forklift Operator to join our dynamic logistics team in New York City, New York. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating forklifts to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise. This role is crucial for the efficient flow of goods within our distribution center. You will be working in a fast-paced environment, ensuring that inventory is managed accurately and safely.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
- Load and unload goods from trucks and trailers.
- Move and stack merchandise to designated storage areas.
- Perform routine checks on equipment to ensure proper functioning and report any issues.
- Assist with inventory counts and stocktaking.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve daily operational goals.
- Participate in training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Forklift Operator.
- Valid forklift certification is required.
- Ability to perform heavy Lifting of up to 50 pounds.
- Strong understanding of warehouse operations and logistics.
- Commitment to Safety standards and practices.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Willingness to wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Must be able to work flexible hours, including some weekends and overtime as needed.
