Our growing distribution center in Atlanta, Georgia is looking for an experienced Warehouse Coordinator. This vital role involves overseeing daily warehouse operations, managing inventory, and ensuring the smooth flow of goods through the facility. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in warehouse management, a keen eye for detail, and a commitment to fostering a safe and productive work environment. You will play a key part in our overall Logistics strategy, ensuring efficiency and accuracy.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate daily warehouse activities, including receiving, storage, and dispatching of goods.
- Manage inventory levels and conduct regular stocktakes to ensure accuracy.
- Develop and implement efficient warehouse layouts and storage solutions.
- Train and mentor warehouse staff on best practices, safety procedures, and operational tasks.
- Monitor and maintain warehouse equipment, ensuring it is in good working order.
- Implement and enforce Safety policies and procedures throughout the warehouse.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and company standards.
- Coordinate with transportation and logistics partners to optimize delivery schedules.
- Manage the proper use and maintenance of PPE.
- Troubleshoot and resolve operational issues promptly.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Warehouse Coordinator, Supervisor, or similar role.
- In-depth knowledge of warehouse management systems and Logistics best practices.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
- Strong understanding of inventory control principles.
- Ability to manage a team and delegate tasks effectively.
- Proficiency in problem-solving and decision-making.
- Experience with Safety protocols and procedures, including requirements for PPE.
- Must be able to handle tasks that may require moderate Lifting.
- Familiarity with OSHA regulations.
