Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Warehouse Technician in Jacksonville, Florida, to maintain and repair our warehouse equipment and infrastructure. This role is essential for ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our logistics facility. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical aptitude, troubleshooting skills, and a commitment to safety. You will be responsible for preventative maintenance, minor repairs, and ensuring all equipment is in optimal working condition to support our warehouse operations.
Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine preventative maintenance on warehouse equipment, including forklifts, conveyors, and automated systems.
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues with warehouse machinery.
  • Conduct safety inspections of equipment and facilities, identifying potential hazards.
  • Ensure all maintenance activities comply with safety regulations and company standards, including the correct use of PPE.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair activities.
  • Operate equipment safely and effectively as needed to test repairs or perform basic functions.
  • Assist in the installation and setup of new equipment.
  • Manage inventory of spare parts and order replacements as necessary.
  • Support the logistics team by minimizing equipment downtime.
  • Respond promptly to equipment malfunctions and emergency repair needs.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED; vocational training in mechanics or electrical systems preferred.
  • Proven experience as a maintenance technician, preferably in a warehouse or logistics environment.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting and repairing various types of industrial equipment.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Physical capability for lifting, climbing, and working in various environmental conditions.
  • Commitment to safety and a thorough understanding of safety procedures, including proper PPE usage.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience with safety protocols in a warehouse setting.
