We are seeking a reliable Material Handler to join our bustling warehouse in Provo, Utah. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient handling of materials throughout our facility. Your duties will encompass receiving goods, stocking shelves, picking items for orders, packing products, and preparing them for shipment. This role requires a strong commitment to accuracy, a diligent work ethic, and an unwavering focus on safety. You will operate various material handling equipment and ensure that your work area remains organized and clutter-free. This position involves significant physical activity, including regular lifting. We provide comprehensive safety training and expect all team members to utilize the provided PPE diligently. Collaboration and adherence to operational procedures are essential for success.
Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and verify incoming materials against purchase orders.
- Transport materials to and from designated storage areas.
- Stock shelves and storage locations accurately.
- Pick and prepare orders for packing and shipment.
- Pack products securely to prevent damage during transit.
- Operate pallet jacks and other material handling equipment safely.
- Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe warehouse environment.
- Conduct inventory cycle counts and report discrepancies.
- Adhere strictly to all company safety policies and procedures, including the correct use of PPE.
- Assist with shipping and receiving operations as needed.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a Material Handler or in a warehouse environment is a plus.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including frequent lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Basic understanding of warehouse operations and logistics.
- Knowledge of workplace safety regulations and the importance of PPE.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively independently and as part of a team.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
