Our dynamic facility in beautiful San Diego, California, is seeking dedicated Picker/Packers to join our growing team. In this role, you will be instrumental in ensuring that customer orders are accurately assembled and prepared for shipment. You'll work within our efficient logistics network, contributing to the overall success of our operations. Responsibilities:
- Pick merchandise from warehouse locations accurately using order tickets or scanning devices.
- Inspect items for damage before packing.
- Pack products safely and efficiently into appropriate shipping containers, ensuring proper cushioning and labeling.
- Verify order contents against packing slips for accuracy.
- Operate hand trucks, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment to move inventory.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area, adhering to all warehouse safety standards.
- Utilize Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required by company policy and for specific tasks.
- Report any inventory discrepancies, stock damage, or safety hazards to supervisors promptly.
- Meet or exceed established productivity goals for picking and packing.
- Assist with other warehouse duties as assigned, contributing to overall operational efficiency.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will possess strong attention to detail, good hand-eye coordination, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Previous experience in picking, packing, or general warehouse operations is highly desirable. Must be capable of physical exertion, including frequent lifting of up to 50 lbs and standing for extended periods. A strong understanding and adherence to safety procedures, including the correct use of PPE, is non-negotiable. Familiarity with the logistics sector and warehouse management systems is a plus. Punctuality and a team-oriented mindset are essential.
