We are seeking a certified Forklift Operator for our busy Orlando, Florida facility. As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient movement of materials within our warehouse, playing a critical role in our logistics operations. Your primary duties will involve operating forklifts to load and unload shipments, move inventory, and support production processes. We are committed to maintaining a safe working environment, and all operators must adhere strictly to Safety guidelines and consistently use required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Responsibilities:
- Safely operate forklifts and other powered industrial trucks to move, stack, and unstack inventory.
- Load and unload trucks, trailers, and containers efficiently.
- Transport materials to and from designated areas within the warehouse.
- Conduct pre-shift inspections of forklifts and report any maintenance needs.
- Ensure accurate placement and tracking of inventory.
- Adhere to all Safety regulations and company policies regarding forklift operation.
- Wear and use all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times.
- Assist with general warehouse duties and support the logistics team as needed.
- Participate in inventory counts and assist with discrepancy resolution.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Follow established procedures for handling hazardous materials if applicable.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Forklift Operator with a valid certification.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Demonstrated knowledge of forklift operations and warehouse Safety procedures.
- Ability to perform tasks requiring moderate physical exertion, including occasional Lifting of up to 50 lbs.
- Must be able to operate machinery in a safe and efficient manner.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication skills.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including overtime, as needed.
- Commitment to wearing appropriate PPE and adhering to all Safety guidelines.
