Job Summary:
Join our busy New York City, New York warehouse as a Material Handler! This role is essential for the smooth operation of our facility, focusing on the efficient movement and organization of materials. You will be responsible for receiving, storing, and distributing materials, operating material handling equipment, and maintaining a safe and orderly work environment. Responsibilities:
  • Receive, unload, and verify incoming materials against purchase orders.
  • Store materials in designated locations, ensuring proper organization and inventory control.
  • Operate material handling equipment, such as pallet jacks and dollies, safely and efficiently.
  • Transport materials throughout the warehouse to support production, shipping, and receiving.
  • Conduct regular inventory checks and assist with stocktaking procedures.
  • Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe work environment, adhering to all safety guidelines.
  • Ensure correct use of PPE at all times.
  • Assist with packing and preparation of outgoing shipments as needed.
  • Collaborate with team members to achieve departmental goals and support overall logistics operations.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in a warehouse or material handling role is preferred.
  • Ability to lift and move heavy items, up to 60 lbs.
  • Familiarity with basic inventory management principles.
  • Good physical stamina and ability to perform manual labor.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Understanding of warehouse safety procedures and the importance of PPE.
  • Basic communication skills.
  • Commitment to following all logistics and safety protocols.
