The Higher School and Advanced School of Social Work, composed of a HES department, two ES departments, and a research institute, is inviting applications for the position of: Assistant Director (100%)Cross-functional role, combining support and influential leadership, capable of connecting institutional levels, supporting management, and advancing complex projects in an academic environment.MissionYou will assist the management of HESTS in the implementation of the quality system, specifically supervising the drafting process of the development plan, and preparing and leading management reviews and project portfolio reviews. You will develop the necessary methods and tools for reliable and coherent management. You will ensure the coordination of activities in your area with HES-SO Valais-Wallis, central services, other higher education institutions as well as the social work domain. You will coordinate the internal and institutional reporting of the department and lead transversal, complex, and structural projects. ProfileMaster's degree in public management, humanities or social sciences (with supplementary studies in public management), or considered equivalent. Proven experience in managing and leading complex projects in a public, semi-public or similar function within a higher education institution or an academic institution is a significant asset. Rigorous mastery of quality-risk management systems and management methods, including planning, monitoring, reporting, and documentation. Ability to develop relevant methods and tools to support decision-making. Strong interest in social work and understanding of its values and systemic challenges, with a keen insight into the dynamics of Higher Education and institutional interfaces. Excellent skills in mobilizing, aligning, federating, and supporting change in analytical environments.
