We are seeking a
Design Engineer with a B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering
and 1-3 years of relevant experience to join our Indoor & Specialty group in Greenville, SC. This role calls for a talented and creative problem solver who will design and develop lighting products that push boundaries in performance, design, and efficiency. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical design background, a creative mindset, and a proven ability to deliver exceptional design solutions. Experience in lighting is highly desired but not required.
This position is required to be on-site in Greenville, SC. We are not supporting relocation for this role.
Key Responsibilities
Conceptualization and Design: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to conceptualize and develop innovative lighting solutions that meet project goals and performance objectives. Engineering Analysis: Perform thermal analysis, optical simulations, and photometric testing to validate design concepts and ensure optimal performance. Prototyping and Testing: Oversee the prototyping and testing of lighting fixtures and systems, analyze results, and iterate designs for improved outcomes. Documentation: Prepare detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and documentation to support manufacturing and product assembly. Collaboration and Communication: Partner with project managers, designers, engineers, and other stakeholders to maintain alignment across all stages of product development. Continuous Improvement: Stay up to date on industry trends, materials, and technologies, and proactively recommend new methods to enhance product innovation and efficiency. Qualifications
Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. 1-3 years of mechanical design engineering experience with a demonstrated passion for creativity and innovation. Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., OnShape, SolidWorks, Solid Edge, AutoCAD). Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including experience with engineering analysis and interpreting test results. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, etc.). Excellent communication, collaboration, and time management skills. High attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality results on time and within scope. SAP experience preferred. Compensation
The position has a compensation package inclusive of base, bonus (if eligible), benefits, 401k contribution, time off, recognition awards and more. This salary range is $60,000-$70,000.
