Job Description
The EHS Program Lead will lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of environmental, health, and safety programs across five operational sites, including two Asset Recovery facilities, two QA facilities, and the headquarters location. This role ensures full compliance with Federal, State, and local regulations particularly those within California and South Carolina and fosters a proactive safety culture through collaboration, influence, and strong interpersonal engagement. This position requires approximately 75% safety and 25% environmental focus, with responsibility for regulatory compliance, program administration, reporting, and partnership with operational leaders and external agencies.

Duties and Responsibilities
Regulatory Compliance & Program Management Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, Cal/OSHA, South Carolina OSHA, and all applicable Federal, State, and local regulations. Develop and implement EHS policies and procedures. Develop and oversee sustainable mechanisms for EHS compliance and continuous improvement including training programs and routine inspections. Maintain current knowledge of relevant EHS regulatory requirements and proactively close related gaps and deficiencies across the organization Analyze EHS data to identify trends and hazards requiring enhanced EHS controls Administer and maintain required documentation including: OSHA 300/300A logs Environmental inspection and monitoring reports Injury/illness reporting and trend analysis Lead and support safety programs such as: Hearing Conservation Respiratory Protection Hazard Communication Machine Guarding LOTO Injury/Illness Prevention Programs (IIPP) Manage environmental requirements including: SWPPP (Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plans) SPCC (Spill Prevention, Control, and Countermeasure plans) Air emissions and permit compliance Waste management and universal waste handling 20% Collaboration & Influence Build strong cross functional partnerships with Operations, Facilities, HR, Asset Recovery, and QA leadership teams to drive safety culture and compliance. Influence stakeholders at multiple levels without direct authority through communication, coaching, and relationship building. 20% Agency & Insurance Liaison Serve as the primary point of contact for: Regulatory bodies (e.g., Cal/OSHA, SC OSHA, EPA, local agencies) Facility management insurance representatives Coordinate inspections, audits, and regulatory reviews; develop and oversee corrective action plans. 10% Incident Management & Workers' Compensation Support Partner closely with the Workers' Compensation team on incident investigation, claim management, and return to work processes. Lead root cause analyses and implement corrective actions to reduce risk and prevent recurrence.15% Training & Culture Development Develop and deliver EHS training programs, onboarding sessions, and compliance refreshers. Minimum 4 Year / Bachelors Degree Bachelor's degree in an EHS related field Minimum Other OR 5+ years of directly related experience & ASP, CSP, CHMM designation Preferred Other ASP, CSP, CHMM designation Years of Experience
5+ years of EHS leadership experience in an Operations environment Skills
Experience leading, implementing, and standardizing organizational EHS programs across multiple operating locations Managing multiple projects, audits, and documentation concurrently Working with departments to integrate safety into business processes Ability to build a safety culture, manage teams, and influence decision-makers
Physical Requirements DC-Exempt - *Stand, walk, sit for extended periods of time. *Speak and listen to others in person and over the phone. *Use keyboard and read from computer screen and reports. *The ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Safety Must be able to perform this job safely in accordance with standard operating procedures and good manufacturing practices, without endangering the health or safety of self or others.

The anticipated salary range for this position is $93,000 - $139,500 depending on location, knowledge, skills, education and experience. This position is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. In addition, we offer comprehensive and competitive benefits to Associates (and their families) such as medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term and long-term disability. Eligible Associates are able to enroll in our company's 401k plan. Associates will accrue paid time off up to 236 hours per year (inclusive of PTO, floating holidays, and paid holidays). Paid sick time up to 80 hours per year unless otherwise required by law.
