Design Engineer
and play a pivotal role in transforming customer needs into cutting-edge thermoforming packaging solutions. This ON SITE exciting opportunity in Elkhart, Indiana offers the chance to lead design projects from initial concept through to final production, collaborating with cross-functional teams, vendors, and clients to create high-quality, efficient packaging products that meet and exceed expectations. Salary:
$65,000 to $80,000 (BOE)
Required Skills: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field with at least 3 years of design experience, or an Associate degree with 7 years of relevant experience in product or tooling design within the plastics industry Proficiency in CAD software (both 2D and 3D modeling) Strong understanding of thermoforming processes and plastic materials Ability to develop complex geometry and create tooling models and drawings following industry standards Excellent project management and multitasking skills Knowledge of quality systems, controlled documentation, and industrial safety procedures Effective interpersonal, reasoning, and analytical skills, with minimal supervision Preferred Skills:
Experience with thermoform plastics manufacturing Familiarity with automatic inline thermoforming and tooling equipment Knowledge of ISO standards and controlled documentation systems Experience with prototyping tools such as 3D printers and measurement devices Profciency working with office software like MS Word and Excel Preferred Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field with 3+ years of design experience, or an associate degree supplemented by 7+ years of relevant experience Proven ability to manage multiple projects and lead design efforts in a manufacturing environment Other Requirements:
