We are seeking a diligent and efficient Picker/Packer to join our dynamic logistics team in San Francisco, California. In this role, you will be instrumental in ensuring the accurate and timely fulfillment of customer orders. Your primary responsibilities will involve accurately picking items from warehouse shelves based on order tickets and then meticulously packing these items into appropriate shipping containers. Attention to detail is paramount as you will be responsible for checking item codes, quantities, and ensuring the quality of goods before they are dispatched. This position requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high level of accuracy. You will be expected to adhere to all company policies and procedures, including strict adherence to safety protocols. Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) is a plus, but comprehensive training will be provided. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, excellent organizational skills, and a commitment to teamwork. This role is crucial to our supply chain operations, ensuring our customers receive their orders correctly and promptly. We emphasize a safe working environment and provide all necessary Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items from designated warehouse locations based on pick lists or scanner data.
- Inspect picked items for damage or defects before packing.
- Pack items securely and efficiently into appropriate shipping boxes or containers.
- Label packages accurately with shipping information.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Assist with inventory counts and stock replenishment as needed.
- Adhere to all safety guidelines and procedures, including the proper use of PPE.
- Collaborate with team members to meet daily shipping targets.
- Operate pallet jacks or other material handling equipment as required.
- Understand and follow instructions related to order fulfillment and logistics processes.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or picking/packing role is preferred.
- Ability to perform manual Lifting of up to 40 lbs repeatedly.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Basic understanding of inventory management principles.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new processes.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Commitment to workplace safety and adherence to PPE requirements.
- Must be reliable and punctual.
