We are actively recruiting dedicated Picker/Packers to join our expanding logistics operations in Washington, D.C. This role is essential for ensuring timely and accurate order fulfillment, contributing directly to customer satisfaction. As a Picker/Packer, you will be responsible for carefully selecting items from inventory and preparing them for shipment. Precision and efficiency are key in this position. You will work in a dynamic warehouse environment where attention to detail is highly valued. Understanding and utilizing the correct PPE is a fundamental requirement for this role. Your contribution is vital to our overall logistics success.
Responsibilities:
- Retrieve specified items from warehouse shelves or storage locations based on order sheets or electronic scanners.
- Verify the accuracy of picked items against order details.
- Package products with care, ensuring they are protected during transit and meet shipping standards.
- Apply appropriate labels and documentation to outgoing shipments.
- Conduct quality checks on products before packing.
- Maintain an orderly and clean workspace, contributing to overall warehouse efficiency.
- Operate warehouse equipment, such as hand trucks or pallet jacks, safely.
- Participate in inventory management tasks, including cycle counts and stock rotation.
- Strictly follow all safety protocols and guidelines, including the correct usage of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Collaborate with team members to achieve daily picking and packing goals.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Prior experience in order picking, packing, or general warehouse duties is beneficial.
- Ability to interpret order forms and product codes accurately.
- Demonstrated ability to work with speed and accuracy.
- Physical ability to stand for prolonged periods, walk, bend, and lift frequently.
- Capacity to lift and maneuver packages weighing up to 50 pounds.
- A strong commitment to workplace Safety and following instructions.
- Team player mentality with good communication skills.
- Understanding of basic inventory principles.
