We are looking for a dependable Material Handler to join our logistics team in Nashville, Tennessee. This role is critical for ensuring the efficient and safe movement of materials throughout our warehouse. As a Material Handler, you will be responsible for receiving, storing, organizing, and distributing a wide variety of products and materials. Key duties include operating forklifts and other powered industrial trucks, loading and unloading delivery vehicles, and transferring items to and from different areas of the facility. You will also support inventory management through accurate record-keeping and participation in cycle counts. Safety is our highest priority, and all team members are required to strictly follow safety regulations and properly use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including safety glasses, gloves, and high-visibility apparel. This position requires the physical capacity for frequent and heavy Lifting. Responsibilities:
- Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment.
- Load and unload trucks and containers.
- Move materials to and from storage areas and production lines.
- Receive and inspect incoming goods for accuracy and damage.
- Store inventory in designated locations, ensuring proper organization.
- Assist with inventory control tasks, including cycle counting.
- Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the warehouse and work areas.
- Follow all established safety procedures and guidelines.
- Wear and maintain all required PPE.
- Report any safety hazards or operational issues.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a Material Handler or in a similar warehouse role is required.
- Proven ability to operate forklifts and other material handling equipment.
- Ability to perform frequent Lifting of items up to 55 lbs.
- Knowledge of warehouse safety standards and protocols.
- Proficiency in the use of PPE.
- Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong work ethic and reliability.
