We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Order Picker to join our dynamic logistics team in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. As an Order Picker, you will be responsible for accurately and efficiently selecting, packing, and preparing customer orders for shipment. This is a crucial role in our warehouse operations, ensuring our customers receive the correct items in a timely manner. Your daily tasks will involve using a voice-directed picking system or handheld scanner to locate and retrieve items from warehouse shelves and racks. You will also be responsible for verifying product codes and quantities, moving inventory using manual equipment such as pallet jacks, and ensuring picked items are securely staged for the packing department. Adherence to all safety protocols and company policies is paramount. We are committed to providing a safe working environment, and you will be required to wear appropriate PPE, including safety vests and steel-toed boots. The ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet performance metrics is essential. This position offers opportunities for growth within our logistics network. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick orders using RF scanners or voice-picking technology.
- Verify product information and quantities against order sheets.
- Stage picked items for packing and shipment.
- Operate manual pallet jacks and other warehouse equipment.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Adhere strictly to all safety guidelines and procedures.
- Utilize provided PPE at all times.
- Meet daily productivity and accuracy goals.
- Assist with inventory counts and cycle counts as needed.
- Contribute to a positive and collaborative team environment.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous warehouse or order picking experience preferred, but not required.
- Ability to perform frequent Lifting of up to 50 lbs.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent time management skills.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems is a plus.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
