We are looking for an experienced and motivated Warehouse Supervisor to lead our team at our busy Nashville, Tennessee facility. As a Warehouse Supervisor, you will oversee daily warehouse operations, ensuring efficiency, productivity, and adherence to safety standards. Your responsibilities will include managing staff, optimizing workflow, controlling inventory, and maintaining a safe and organized work environment. This role is crucial for the smooth functioning of our logistics network and requires strong leadership, problem-solving skills, and a comprehensive understanding of warehouse management. You will be instrumental in fostering a culture of safety and continuous improvement. Strict compliance with all safety regulations, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE), is expected from you and your team. Your leadership directly impacts our operational success.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise, train, and mentor warehouse staff to ensure productivity and performance.
- Oversee daily warehouse operations, including receiving, warehousing, distribution, and shipping.
- Develop and implement efficient workflow processes to maximize productivity.
- Ensure accurate inventory management and conduct regular audits.
- Maintain a safe and clean working environment, enforcing all company safety policies and procedures.
- Implement and monitor the correct use of PPE by all team members.
- Manage equipment maintenance and ensure operational readiness.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless logistics operations.
- Handle employee relations issues and conduct performance reviews.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency.
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is preferred. Proven experience as a Warehouse Supervisor or in a similar leadership role. Strong understanding of warehouse operations, logistics, and inventory management. Proficient in warehouse management systems (WMS) and other relevant software. Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally. Must be able to stand, walk, and work in a physically demanding environment. A demonstrated commitment to safety and the correct use of PPE is mandatory. Ability to work flexible hours as needed. Strong organizational and time management skills.
