Job Summary:
Our Jacksonville, Florida facility is seeking an experienced Inventory Control Specialist to maintain the accuracy and integrity of our warehouse stock. This role is crucial for our logistics operations, ensuring that inventory levels are precise and readily available for order fulfillment. You will be responsible for conducting regular cycle counts, investigating discrepancies, reconciling inventory records, and implementing strategies to minimize stock variances. This position requires a meticulous eye for detail, strong analytical skills, and a thorough understanding of inventory management systems and warehouse best practices. Your work will directly impact operational efficiency, customer satisfaction, and cost control. The ideal candidate will be proficient in using warehouse technology, such as scanners and inventory software. Adherence to safety protocols, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE), is mandatory, as you may occasionally be involved in physical inventory checks that require lifting. Responsibilities:
  • Perform regular cycle counts and physical inventory audits.
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies promptly.
  • Reconcile inventory records with system data.
  • Implement and monitor inventory control procedures.
  • Track and manage stock levels to ensure optimal availability.
  • Analyze inventory data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Coordinate with warehouse and logistics teams to manage stock movements.
  • Ensure proper labeling and organization of all inventory items.
  • Adhere to all company safety policies and use required PPE.
  • Generate reports on inventory accuracy and status.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree in Logistics or a related field is a plus.
  • Proven experience in inventory control or a similar warehouse/logistics role.
  • Proficiency with inventory management software (IMS) and Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to interpret and analyze inventory data.
  • Experience with warehouse operations and logistics workflows.
  • Familiarity with safety procedures and the importance of PPE.
  • Ability to occasionally perform tasks requiring lifting.
