We are seeking a motivated Distribution Center Associate to join our team in Detroit, Michigan. In this versatile role, you will be involved in various aspects of warehouse operations, including receiving, stocking, picking, packing, and shipping. Your contribution is vital to ensuring the efficient flow of goods through our logistics network. The ideal candidate will possess a strong work ethic, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to perform physically demanding tasks. You will work closely with other team members to meet daily operational goals and maintain inventory accuracy. Safety is paramount in our operations, and all associates are required to adhere to strict safety protocols, including the proper use of PPE. We provide comprehensive training to equip you with the skills needed for success. Responsibilities:
- Receive, inspect, and store incoming inventory.
- Pick and pack customer orders accurately and efficiently.
- Prepare orders for shipment, including labeling and staging.
- Load and unload trucks as needed.
- Maintain inventory accuracy through proper stocking and cycle counts.
- Keep the work area clean, organized, and safe.
- Operate pallet jacks and other material handling equipment.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the use of PPE.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve operational targets.
- Perform other warehouse duties as assigned, including lifting up to 50 lbs.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or distribution center is a plus.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including frequent lifting of up to 50 lbs.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Understanding of basic logistics and warehouse operations.
- Reliability and punctuality are essential.
- Willingness to follow safety guidelines and wear required PPE.
