Are you looking for an Order Picker position in the heart of New York City, New York? We are seeking a diligent and energetic individual to accurately pick and prepare orders for shipment in our busy warehouse. This role is vital to our logistics operations, ensuring our customers receive their orders accurately and on time. You will work as part of a dedicated team, contributing to the smooth functioning of our distribution center. A strong emphasis is placed on Safety and efficiency in all aspects of the job.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items from warehouse shelves to fulfill customer orders using RF scanners or pick sheets.
- Verify picked items against order details to ensure accuracy.
- Pack orders appropriately for shipment, ensuring items are protected during transit.
- Stage orders for loading onto delivery vehicles.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring compliance with Safety protocols.
- Operate equipment such as pallet jacks as needed.
- Assist with inventory management tasks, including cycle counts.
- Wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to ensure personal Safety.
- Support the overall efficiency of the logistics supply chain.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as an Order Picker or in a similar warehouse role is advantageous.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including frequent Lifting of items up to 50 lbs and standing for extended periods.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in picking and packing.
- Understanding of warehouse Logistics and order fulfillment processes.
- Commitment to workplace Safety and following all guidelines.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
