You will be responsible for operating various types of material handling equipment, loading and unloading trucks, and transporting goods to and from designated areas. Your proficiency in safe and efficient material handling is crucial for maintaining workflow and preventing delays in our logistics operations. The ideal candidate possesses a strong understanding of warehouse operations, a keen eye for safety, and the ability to work in a physically demanding environment. Experience with forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment is essential. Key Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload trucks, verifying contents against shipping documents.
- Transport raw materials, finished goods, and supplies to and from designated areas within the warehouse.
- Stack, bundle, and package materials as required.
- Assist with inventory counts and stocktaking.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Adhere strictly to all safety regulations, including the proper use of PPE.
- Perform routine checks on material handling equipment to ensure proper working condition.
- Follow all lifting guidelines and safe material handling procedures.
- Support overall logistics and operational efficiency.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience as a Material Handler or in a similar role operating warehouse equipment.
- Valid forklift certification (or willingness to obtain one).
- Ability to perform tasks involving significant physical exertion, including frequent lifting, pushing, and pulling.
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety procedures and the importance of PPE.
- Ability to read and interpret shipping documents and safety guidelines.
- Reliable and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Good hand-eye coordination and mechanical aptitude.
