We are seeking a motivated and experienced Warehouse Supervisor to oversee daily operations at our Los Angeles, California facility. This role is crucial for ensuring efficiency, productivity, and maintaining high standards of safety and quality within the warehouse. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a thorough understanding of warehouse logistics, and a commitment to fostering a positive and productive work environment. You will be responsible for managing a team of warehouse associates, coordinating inbound and outbound shipments, inventory management, and enforcing company policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of warehouse staff.
- Ensure efficient receiving, warehousing, and distribution operations.
- Implement and maintain operational policies and procedures.
- Manage inventory levels and conduct regular cycle counts.
- Train new team members on warehouse processes and safety protocols.
- Monitor performance metrics and identify areas for improvement.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and proper use of PPE.
- Troubleshoot operational issues and resolve them in a timely manner.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless logistics.
- Assess and manage lifting requirements for various tasks.
Qualifications:
- Proven work experience as a warehouse supervisor or in a similar leadership role.
- Hands-on experience in warehouse management systems (WMS).
- Proficiency in inventory management and logistics.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects, up to 50 lbs.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in a warehouse setting.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
- High school diploma or equivalent; further education is a plus.
- Familiarity with standard PPE requirements.
