We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Material Handler to join our dynamic logistics team in Durham, North Carolina. The Material Handler will be responsible for various warehouse duties, including receiving, processing, and distributing materials. This role is crucial to our supply chain operations, ensuring that goods move efficiently and accurately throughout the facility. You will be working in a fast-paced environment where attention to detail and physical stamina are paramount.
Responsibilities:
- Receive and unload incoming materials and compare with the shipping manifest.
- Sort and place materials on racks, shelves, or in designated storage areas.
- Verify inventory levels and report any discrepancies.
- Pick and prepare materials for shipping orders, ensuring accuracy and proper packaging.
- Operate material handling equipment, such as pallet jacks and hand trucks.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all safety regulations.
- Assist with cycle counts and inventory audits.
- Perform other warehouse duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics environment is preferred.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent time management and ability to work efficiently.
- Familiarity with warehouse safety procedures and the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods.
