We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Receiving Clerk to join our dynamic logistics team in Nashville, Tennessee. As a Receiving Clerk, you will be the first point of contact for incoming shipments, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and adherence to all safety protocols. This role is crucial to the smooth operation of our distribution center and the overall supply chain.
Responsibilities:
- Unload incoming trucks and verify contents against purchase orders and packing slips.
- Inspect goods for damage and discrepancies, reporting any issues promptly.
- Accurately record received items into the warehouse management system (WMS).
- Stage received goods for put-away, ensuring proper labeling and organization.
- Maintain a clean and organized receiving area, adhering to all safety guidelines.
- Collaborate with inventory control and other warehouse personnel to resolve discrepancies.
- Operate basic warehouse equipment, such as pallet jacks, as needed.
- Ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures, especially regarding safety and PPE.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a receiving or warehouse environment is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Basic computer skills and ability to learn WMS software.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 pounds regularly.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Commitment to workplace safety and proper use of PPE.
- Understanding of logistics principles is beneficial.
