Join our thriving warehouse in Austin, Texas, as a skilled Forklift Operator! We are looking for experienced operators to safely and efficiently move materials within our facility. Your expertise with forklifts is crucial for maintaining smooth operations and supporting our Logistics team. This role requires precision, adherence to Safety regulations, and the ability to operate various types of forklifts. We provide all required PPE to ensure your protection on the job. While forklift operation is the primary focus, some manual tasks, including Lifting , may be involved. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts and other powered industrial trucks to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise.
- Load and unload trailers and rail cars.
- Verify incoming and outgoing shipments against documentation.
- Identify and report damaged goods or discrepancies.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work area.
- Adhere strictly to all company Safety policies and procedures.
- Perform routine inspections of forklift equipment.
- Assist with other warehouse duties as assigned, including occasional manual Lifting .
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid forklift operator certification or license.
- Proven experience operating forklifts in a warehouse environment.
- Strong understanding of warehouse Safety practices and procedures.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks as needed.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Must wear and maintain required PPE , including safety footwear.
- Familiarity with Logistics operations is a plus.
