We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Receiving Clerk to join our dynamic logistics team in Cincinnati, Ohio. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for all incoming shipments, ensuring accuracy and efficiency from the moment goods arrive. Your responsibilities will include unloading trucks, verifying packing slips against received items, inspecting for damage, and properly documenting all incoming inventory. This position requires meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining an organized and safe receiving area. You will work closely with inventory control and shipping departments to ensure seamless operations. Excellent communication skills are essential as you will interact with vendors and internal teams. We are looking for individuals who understand the importance of accurate receiving in the overall supply chain and are eager to contribute to a fast-paced warehouse environment. This role involves significant standing and occasional lifting of up to 50 lbs. Proper use of PPE is mandatory at all times. Understanding of warehouse safety protocols is crucial. Key Responsibilities:
- Unload incoming freight from delivery vehicles.
- Verify received goods against purchase orders and packing slips.
- Inspect shipments for damage and discrepancies, documenting any issues.
- Enter receiving data into the warehouse management system (WMS).
- Stage goods for internal distribution or put-away.
- Maintain a clean and organized receiving dock.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and use required PPE.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or receiving role preferred.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Familiarity with WMS or inventory software is a plus.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Commitment to safety and proper use of PPE.
