We are seeking motivated and reliable Warehouse Associates to join our dynamic team in Detroit, Michigan. As a Warehouse Associate, you will play a crucial role in our daily operations, ensuring the efficient flow of goods through our facility. This position requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining a safe working environment. You will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including receiving, stocking, picking, packing, and shipping orders. We value teamwork and encourage our associates to contribute to process improvements. Your contributions are vital to our success in the logistics industry.
Responsibilities:
- Receive and inspect incoming shipments for accuracy and damage.
- Stock shelves and manage inventory using our Warehouse Management System (WMS).
- Accurately pick items for customer orders using pick lists or RF scanners.
- Pack orders securely and efficiently for shipment.
- Load and unload trucks, ensuring proper handling of materials.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all safety regulations.
- Operate material handling equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts (certification may be required).
- Assist with inventory counts and cycle counts.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures, especially concerning safety and security.
- Participate in team meetings and training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous warehouse or distribution experience is a plus.
- Ability to perform frequent Lifting of up to 50 lbs.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic understanding of warehouse operations and logistics.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Must wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times, including safety shoes and vests.
- Commitment to workplace Safety standards.
