Seeking an energetic Order Picker to join our team in Nashville, Tennessee. This role is vital to our logistics operations, ensuring that customer orders are fulfilled accurately and efficiently. As an Order Picker, you will be responsible for navigating the warehouse to retrieve specific items based on order tickets or scanning devices. Precision and speed are key attributes for success in this position. You will also assist with packing orders and preparing them for shipment. A commitment to maintaining a safe working environment and adhering to all company policies, including the correct use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), is non-negotiable. This role requires individuals who are self-motivated, organized, and capable of working in a fast-paced environment. Your contribution is crucial to our customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
- Locate and retrieve specified items from warehouse shelves using pick lists or RF scanners.
- Verify product information and quantities against order details.
- Pack items securely and efficiently for shipment, ensuring product protection.
- Assist with staging picked items for packing and shipping departments.
- Maintain an organized and clean work area to promote efficiency and safety.
- Follow all safety guidelines and procedures, including the proper use of PPE.
- Report any discrepancies or issues with inventory or orders.
- Meet or exceed picking and packing productivity goals.
- Collaborate with other warehouse associates to ensure smooth operations.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as an order picker or in a similar warehouse role is advantageous.
- Ability to perform lifting of items up to 40 pounds.
- Must be able to stand, walk, and reach for extended periods.
- Excellent attention to detail for accurate order fulfillment.
- Understanding of warehouse safety best practices.
- Reliable and punctual, with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Basic understanding of logistics and inventory systems.
