Join our advanced San Francisco, California warehouse as a Material Handler. This role is critical for the smooth operation of our logistics and inventory management systems. The Material Handler will be responsible for moving, locating, relocating, stacking, and counting merchandise. You will operate material handling equipment, such as forklifts and pallet jacks, to transport goods throughout the warehouse. Accuracy, efficiency, and a strong commitment to Safety are essential. The Material Handler plays a key role in maintaining an organized inventory and ensuring that materials are readily available for production or shipping. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload materials from trucks and containers.
- Transport materials to and from designated storage areas.
- Stack and arrange materials according to warehouse layout and safety guidelines.
- Perform regular inventory counts and assist with inventory accuracy.
- Identify and report damaged materials or equipment promptly.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Adhere to all company Safety policies and procedures.
- Assist with shipping and receiving operations as needed.
- Wear appropriate PPE, including hard hats and safety shoes.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience as a Material Handler or in a similar warehouse role.
- Valid forklift operator certification is required.
- Ability to perform heavy-duty tasks, including frequent Lifting of up to 70 lbs.
- Strong knowledge of material handling equipment operation and maintenance.
- Excellent understanding of warehouse Safety standards and procedures.
- Good organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and independently.
- Basic math and reading skills.
- Commitment to following all PPE guidelines.
