We are hiring a skilled Forklift Operator to join our team at our Indianapolis, Indiana facility. As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient movement of materials throughout our warehouse. This role is essential for our logistics operations, ensuring that inventory is properly handled, stored, and retrieved. The ideal candidate will possess a valid forklift certification, a proven track record of safe operation, and a strong understanding of warehouse procedures. You will operate various types of forklifts to move, load, unload, and stack products, ensuring that all movements are conducted with precision and care. Maintaining a clean and organized work area is crucial, as is adhering to all Safety regulations. We provide all necessary training and ensure that all employees are equipped with the appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE ). This is a demanding yet rewarding position that requires focus, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a dynamic warehouse environment. Occasional Lifting of items up to 50 lbs may be required when not operating equipment. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts (e.g., sit-down, stand-up, reach trucks) safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload materials from trucks and trailers.
- Move, stack, and organize inventory within the warehouse.
- Perform pre-operation inspections and routine maintenance on forklifts.
- Transport materials to and from production, storage, and shipping areas.
- Adhere to all warehouse Safety policies and procedures.
- Utilize and maintain required PPE during all operations.
- Assist with inventory management and stock taking when necessary.
- Follow all Logistics and warehouse protocols.
- Handle materials carefully, including occasional Lifting of up to 50 lbs.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid forklift operator certification.
- Proven experience as a forklift operator.
- Excellent knowledge of warehouse operations and material handling.
- Strong understanding of forklift operational procedures and Safety best practices.
- Ability to perform basic maintenance on equipment.
- Physical ability to operate machinery and perform occasional Lifting .
- Familiarity with PPE requirements.
- Knowledge of Logistics is advantageous.
