We are looking for motivated Order Pickers to join our dynamic logistics team in Grand Rapids, Michigan. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately and efficiently retrieving products from warehouse shelves to fulfill customer orders. Your attention to detail and speed are critical to ensuring customer satisfaction and the smooth operation of our distribution center. You will utilize scanning equipment and operate pallet jacks to gather items, and work collaboratively with your team to meet daily targets. A strong commitment to safety is essential; this includes adhering to all company policies, wearing the required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), and practicing safe Lifting techniques to prevent injuries. Responsibilities:
- Accurately select items from warehouse shelves based on order specifications.
- Use handheld scanners to track inventory and order progress.
- Ensure correct items and quantities are picked for each order.
- Transport picked items to packing or shipping stations.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Participate in inventory counts and checks as required.
- Follow all company safety guidelines and wear appropriate PPE.
- Report any picking discrepancies or equipment issues to management.
- Perform tasks that involve manual Lifting and movement of goods.
- Contribute to the overall efficiency of our logistics process.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as an Order Picker or in a warehouse environment is preferred.
- Ability to read and understand order lists and product labels.
- Experience operating pallet jacks and scanning devices.
- Must be able to perform physical tasks including frequent Lifting, bending, and standing.
- Awareness of warehouse safety standards and the importance of PPE.
- Good accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
