We are hiring a skilled Material Handler for our busy warehouse in Orlando, Florida. This position is essential for the smooth operation of our Logistics and distribution center. You will be responsible for the efficient and safe movement of goods, including loading and unloading shipments, operating material handling equipment, and organizing warehouse stock. The ideal candidate possesses physical stamina, attention to detail, and a strong commitment to workplace Safety. This role ensures that materials are readily available for subsequent stages of the supply chain.
Responsibilities:
- Receive and unload incoming materials and products.
- Load outgoing shipments onto trucks and other transport vehicles.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse machinery proficiently and safely.
- Transport materials to and from storage areas, production lines, or shipping docks.
- Organize and maintain inventory in designated warehouse locations.
- Perform routine checks on equipment to ensure they are in good working order and meet Safety standards.
- Keep the work area clean, tidy, and free from hazards.
- Adhere to all company Safety policies and procedures, including the mandated use of PPE.
- Assist with inventory counts and record keeping as needed.
- Support the overall Logistics flow by ensuring materials are where they need to be, when they need to be.
- Report any Safety concerns or equipment issues promptly.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a Material Handler role or similar warehouse environment.
- Experience operating forklifts or similar heavy equipment is required; certification preferred.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including frequent Lifting of up to 60 lbs.
- Knowledge of Safety regulations in a warehouse setting.
- Understanding of Logistics principles and material flow.
- Strong work ethic and reliability.
- Willingness to consistently wear and use required PPE.
